Here, we field the questions and joy of our new virtual luncheon series….

Q: What is a Virtual Luncheon?
A: Well it’s not going to be a total cop-out. We’re afraid… you’re gonna have to fix your hair. Maybe put on a little lipstick and even straighten your collar. Because, guess what ladies – we are BACK!! Let’s get shined up and SHOW UP for each other!

Q: Is Zoom easy to use?
A: Yes! You will receive a link to join the event a few days before. Then, on Sept. 23, click the link and smile as you will be entered into the Zoom Room. (You will be in a waiting room for a short time & we are starting to wonder – will this be THE pre-party party to remember? Let’s hope.)

Q. Why do I always look like a specter on Zoom?
A. First, shove a couple of books under your laptop, to make it higher on your desk (pillow, lap). Get the computer camera somewhere in the vicinity of your eyes, not your chin. There, you just lost 10 lbs. Next, make sure the light in the room is in front of you – not behind you. No ceiling fans for hair bows either.

Q: Why is the virtual luncheon the same price as an in-person event?
A: Instead of chicken salad and delicious Hagerty desserts, we’re going to serve Tools, Techniques, Motivation and Strategies that will help you not only get through… but GROW (and Laugh with JOY!) through this time in our lives. With the budget that we had to host the luncheon, we were able to bring you (awesome! well-known!) international speakers to help fill our minds and hearts with exactly the things we need right now. These speakers usually earn five-figures for their programs (!!!), but they have all generously agreed to meet our budget to help launch our first Virtual Series.

Q. But what about lunch, I’m starving?
A. We will still “lunch” together – most of you will be tuning in during your lunch hour – so don’t be shy – bring your lunch and dig in. As the program begins, we will eat lunch “together,” listen to sponsors and in general, connect! And the “dessert”? So many of us are feeling isolated and longing for some together time. The Zoom platform can allow everyone to see each other and interact. This virtual experience will be totally delicious and deeply fulfilling until we can all get back to the Hagerty Center together.

Q: Do I have to wear pants?
A: Um… You are free to “be free” but please don’t stand up!

We are looking forward to our first-ever VIRTUAL GTWoman Luncheon on Sept. 23 with Tami Evans, 11am-1pm. Please join us here!

Yay!!!
